I've always loved the
fashion of the 30's and
everything that came with
the Art Deco era
the jewelry and the glamour.

Cincinnati Union Terminal has a stone and brick surface but its underlying structure is made of steel, most of which is embedded in concrete to fireproof the building. It takes a lot of steel to hold up a building like this. How much? Over 1,000 steel columns and 7,800 steel beams form the structural frame behind the building's historic stone and brick surfaces. The project team used a 3D model of structure to properly coordinate locations of all the ducts, piping and wiring through the building's extensive steel skeleton. It is a beauty, both inside and out.
After finishing up at this historic site, we drove through more lovely neighborhoods to view homes and went out to dinner. Then my friend took me to see this huge grocery store that actually had 95 isles! After all that walking, it was time to go home and rest up for the next big day.
Wow, wow! I agree with Emmy Rossum about the glamour of Art Deco design. This makes me think of a time when train travel was very popular. This is wonderful!
