By car, by plane and finally by boat, we are headed back to Catalina Island, off the coast of Southern California. I love Catalina and it is fairly easy to get there for us. An hour flight and an hour boat ride. We took the Catalina Express named the Jet Cat. A smooth ride that goes 30-35 miles per hour. That is much improved over when I would go to Catalina as a child on the SS Catalina that took 2 1/2 hours and rocked and swayed with every wave. I was always nervous that I was going to get seasick!
