People say graffiti is ugly
irresponsible and childish
but that's only if it's done properly.
...Banksy
These are just a few examples of the graffiti inside the Donner Pass Tunnels. Vibrant, large and a lot of it. If it is on the inside of the tunnels, it is left alone. However, if painted on the outside of the tunnels, it is removed from view. Hopefully, there isn’t anything in the collage that is offensive that I missed?!?
Nice on Black.
I am still playing catch up on 365 but I also have one of our grand boys visiting with us. It will be a little longer before I can check and comment on your photos...time poor at the moment. Enjoy your week ahead!
I can't make my mind up about graffiti. When it's beautiful and artistic, it makes me think of a mural. When it is more chaotic, I wonder if it is just colourful vandalism. Striking images.
Not keen on graffiti I'm afraid. It seems to have become a bit more artistic recently but I do not like the way it has been used in the gang culture in inner cities. I was in one of our National Parks last year with glorious scenery and dramatic views of mountains and lakes and someone had put graffiti on a large rock. Blood pressure went sky high!
i wil refrain from searching for offensive material - but rather enjoy your colourful collage. I am rather keen on large outdoor artworks, but not the scribbled messages that deface our towns and sadly also sometimes the countryside.
Graffiti is amazing. At first I thought, "What a shame to ruin these tunnels from the 1800's" but then I decided it was cool to meld the past with the present. The tunnels just evolved into something else over time. Love your collage and the bright, rich colors.
So colorful! I'm a fan of graffiti and murals of the walls of buildings as long as they have permission to paint and it is creative. There are some amazing artists out there.
