A mourning dove is taking in the view on our roof top. I cannot believe it has already been two years since we had our roof replaced at the cost of $40,000...dry rot repair was at an additional cost. Our original wood shingle roof had more leaks than you could count. This roof does come with a 50 year guarantee though we won't be here that long. :)
Maybe we could have gotten a beautiful thatched roof for less but I think they cost even more!
Lovely lines in this composition, and great scale with the bird. Roofing -- so important but so frustrating to see all that money going into something that is simply 'there'.
@shutterbug49 My husband parks his vehicle outside and he said it was covered in ash this morning...the air smells smokey and heavy too! Terrible days of heat, wind, lightening and thunder...strange weather and prime for fires.
