Little Sophie Belle will be in surgery today. Besides getting her teeth cleaned, she will also get a toe amputated and lump removed on her left back foot. I am hoping the biopsy comes back negative and all will be well. Please have a safe surgery and speedy recovery, my sweet girl.
Thank you so much! Sophie is ready for a grooming appointment soon. But, I still think she is adorable and so puppy-like at 13 1/2 years old. She still has a lot of spunk and chases the squirrels in our yard.
After we dropped her off at the vet office, the vet decided to run some extra blood tests that postponed the surgery!!! All her blood tests were normal and A-OK. I was mentally prepared and wanted it to be done so Sophie could be on the mend! Now, she will have to take an additional round of antibiotics and have the surgery on January 27th. Thank you so much for all your well wishes. I will need your additional good thoughts on the 27th!
Thank you for you care, concern and well wishes. Unfortunately, the surgery was postponed and I picked her up 5 hours later from the vet. They decided as a precaution to run some additional blood tests which she passed with flying colors. So, the surgery has been rescheduled for Jan 27th. I was hoping she would be all better by then. Until the 27th...good thoughts for sweet Sophie Belle.
Many thanks for your kindness and care! The surgery was unfortunately postponed after we dropped her off. As a precaution they ran more blood work which came back normal. It has been rescheduled for January 27th. Instead of Sophie being well on the mend, I will be worried for her all over again.
