I get upset when the squirrels get greedy and eat more than their fair share but I just need to figure out how to be smarter than a squirrel. In the meantime, I try to make sure the birds get some food too. Happy weekend!
Hard to be smarter than a squirrel after nuts. I used to watch the interaction of a woodpecker and a squirrel on our neighbor’s house. The woodpecker would put acorns under the shakes. The squirrel would hide under the eave of the house and just reach its paw around to get the acorns. The woodpecker was totally confused. Although it would have been so easy to just go around and dive bomb the squirrel, it never left it’s position on the roof.
