I don’t often photograph kit, as I see them as tools only, but today one of my favourite focal lengths was getting a rub down, and I liked the light on the desk and the colour of my gym towel, so why not I thought.
It’s not the sharpest lens in the bag, nor the fastest, but it renders a lovely image, unique to this specific lens, and it’s very small, well built and light. It’s also free from loads of electronic, internal components, which eventually fail and costly to fix.
I have captured many memories through this glass, and will continue to use it, until it breaks or I simply stop.
If you’re thinking about a single prime lens, this 28mm focal range is a sweetheart between wide and zoom, and will get through any challenge!
📷Simply placed the lens on the background, and used two office LED lights to provide the light, and simply played around with angles and position. Admittedly, a greater depth of field would have been more suitable to be honest, to get all the lens writing tack sharp. However, bingo, my product shot📷
A vintage lens. They are great. I have a couple of Canon FD lenses that I sometimes use with an adapter on my Sony or if I feel like shooting film I put them on an old Canon AE1
