A Chorus Line . . . of Naked Ladies

These flowers spring dramatically from the ground in mid to late summer and are commonly referred to as Surprise Lilies, taking only four to five days from first emergence to full bloom. Since the leaves sprout and grow in the spring, then die back during June, they are also referred to as naked ladies when they bloom. -- This was a dramatic line of flowers and I had trouble isolating them. I think of these shots as capturing a rehearsal, since one "dancer" seems to be out of step and the "stage" hasn't been cleaned for the opening. I decided to try a collage because the top right photo best showed the line, but had a cluttered background.
Kim I love your commentary about the "naked ladies". What a great montage ...so fresh and inviting!
