Finally captured this yellow sulphur as it enjoyed a taste of sweet nectar. It's been around off and on all summer, but so elusive!

The Nectar
Poems are like butterflies
Swiftly flying by,
You try and catch them as they do,
They slip away and fly
Having come from nowhere
Going somewhere to
Play their little game of tease
Far away from you!
Poems are like flowers
Smiling in the sun,
You while away the hours
Looking for the one
Who chooses to be yours
As you wait and yearn,
When suddenly a flower
Makes your spirit burn!
You take up the pen
And the nectar flows
Onto the page and then
The word becomes the rose
Blooming in my garden
For the prettiest butterfly
Settling on the flower
For a taste of paradise!
