These purple salvias have proven very hardy through heat and drought, but I give them a shower once in a while. They were a memorial gift 10 years ago when my father passed away and they have multiplied and are still growing strong, even though the local florist warned me that this variety would probably not grow after the third year. Luckily, they've multiplied yearly and I've been able to share them with family and friends to grow in their gardens.
Beautiful story of these salvias and how they have multiplied! A sweet memory of your father. Love your photo such a gorgeous color and raindrops decorating the petals. Fun song in the link!
What a beautiful memorial and pretty shot. I think I may have some of this growing in my garden. It looks very similar although it is not blooming now (so maybe it isn't the same thing). Lovely shot!
