The man whispered, "God, speak to me."
And a meadowlark sang.
But the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me!"
And the thunder rolled across the sky.
But the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said, "God, let me see you."
And a star shone brightly.
But the man did not notice.
And the man shouted, "God, show me a miracle!"
And a life was born.
But the man did not know.
So, the man cried out in despair.
"Touch me God, and let me know that you are here!"
Whereupon God reached down and touched the man.
But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.
MORAL: Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way you expect.
I am so thankful for the positive changes I've experienced since joining 365. Since this quote emphasizes how wonderful it is when we look around us and see things in a new way, I chose to include more than the first two lines. Getting a meadowlark photo was on my bucket list. Although I had to crop this quite a bit, at least you can identify our Kansas state bird with the use of select color and soft focus. And now that I recognize their wonderful song and have figured out they serenade me from my fence posts, hopefully I can get a little closer. Thanks for stopping by!
First of all I love the poem!! It's so hard to capture birds and you've been creative in making this shot work for you. I would love to even take a bird shot like this but my camera is not capable of it. Anyway! I agree with you on the effect 365 has on the way we see things. I'm excited at how it has improved the pictures I'm able to capture with the camera that I have. The more I think about photography- the more I see it as "the art of seeing".
