Looks very much like our Cape Gooseberry.. check out my 29th July 365 album... our have a golden berry inside when cut look a little like a tomato ... about the size of a marble.

I think you will find it has flowered and this is the fruit... flower on ours are yellow and black and look a little like a tomato flower..

hi I'm your get pushed partner this week. I think this is some variety of ground cherry, though I'd have to see the leaves, I guess. The darker ribbing is unusual but beautiful. I've enjoyed the fabulous splashes of bright colorf that you photograph so well. I was trying to think of a challenge of something not so common in your photographs and then I thought, well, why not add a little extra to what you're already doing. So, here's the challenge: beautiful bright colorful close-up but include some framing element, also natural (as opposed to a window or other construction).
