I'm pretending to be a flower. by genealogygenie

I'm pretending to be a flower.

If you're satisfied with who you are and you're comfortable being yourself, that's all that matters.

I first spotted this wood nymph (Cercyonis pegala) near my butterfly bush. It stayed on the opposite side from where I was standing and hid amongst the green leaves. While waiting for it to move on, I decided to photograph the flowers on the bush, when a hummingbird showed up, The butterfly stayed hidden while I was occupied with the hummingbird photobomber. When I moved on, the butterfly darted to the dried out black-eyed susan thinking it would blend in and not be noticed. Pretty clever butterfly, pretending to be a flower!
