“Good farmers, who take seriously their duties as stewards of Creation and of their land's inheritors, contribute to the welfare of society in more ways than society usually acknowledges, or even knows. These farmers produce valuable goods, of course; but they also conserve soil, they conserve water, they conserve wildlife, they conserve open space, they conserve scenery.”
~ Wendell Berry, Bringing it to the Table: Writings on Farming and Food
Drove an hour to our oldest son's house and noticed the fields were in various stages, either ready to be mowed, raked, baled or the bales hauled. This was a drive-by photo taken at dawn and there was quite a bit of dew on the ground so no activity until it dried out. Thanks for viewing.
