She is homeless, has a fairly bad limp with her left leg, and is walking thru a grocery store parking lot near our house on her way to a main intersection about 1-1/2 blocks away, where she has been soliciting donations every weekday for about the last 2 months.
I struggle with this type of situation. I would want to help people in this situation but there are so many scammers. My wife and make most of our donations to organizations who can provide help.
Trust me, I understand. When we would see homeless people or those that appeared down on their luck, my dad used to tell me that "there, but for the grace of God, go I." I have never forgotten that, have always believed that, continue to be incredibly thankful for all that I have, most especially family and their emotional support.
Sad .. I always wonder what’s happen in their life …and I know that falling into precariousness can be so fast , hope she will find a shelter and some help.
