In 1982 I bought my first Nikon, a Nikon EM which was promptly replaced within about 3 years with another model. I however kept it and the lenses I accumulated with it, a 28mm, a 135mm and the 50mm 1.8 lens with which I took this picture! That is the amazing thing I love about Nikon. Their lenses work on their cameras decades apart! I had honestly been planning on buying this exact lens in the VR edition before i looked in the "old drawer" to see if I still had this one, and sure enough I did! I think I am gonna have fun with it, because it is definitely "old school" ... requires me to do my own focusing and changing of f-stops in full manual mode to be able to shoot, which I am totally good with. Cool.
Oh to have a lens collection built up someday decades from now. I got my Nikon back in November with just one lens. Drooling over new ones, but I must save for one. Love the daisies and the cobalt vase.
