Another wet and cold day so decided to introduce more of my bear collection. This time I was setting up some "modern" bears when Jack took an interest in what I was doing!

Glad you landed safely :) @darthkitty Thanks. Jack does sleep in strange places :) @hermann he was beary comfortable Sally :) @ladymagpie Ha ha! @gilbertwood In 1992 when western Qld was in the grip of drought and wool prices were severely depressed, the small western Qld town of Tambo was looking for a way introduce new industry and save the town. Three women came up with the idea of making teddy bears out of wool pelts and stuffing them with wool. That is, a 100% woollen teddy bear. They said it would never work but they went ahead with their idea and the rest, as they say, is history.
Each bear is catalogued and is named after a sheep station in the Tambo district. We bought one after we came across them by accident when we were driving thru western qld. We have given one as a birth present to each of our grandkids. I will try to post a pic of ours and tag you in the title. You can check them out at http://www.tamboteddies.com.au/history/
@lynnilou So glad you are enjoying my bears! It was my daughter's suggestion to make the photographs more interesting - not just the bears sitting on their shelves! I'm having fun now on miserable weather days! If only we could meet :)
