Slow down - swans crossing!

Walked around Lake Wendourie (Ballarat) today before heading home. There was lots of bird life around!

@gigiflower Yes Sam, very full and they have created islands for bird safety and cleaned up all around. Very pleasant spot...but the chill factor was VERY cold!

@darthkitty @hermann That's amazing you've never sen them walking. There were heaps walking around the lake! And a pair here in W'bool in the playground are out of the water as much as they are in it :)

We have geese that stop traffic daily around here. Love it when they're crossing with a line of babies!

I love Lake Wendouree, we live halfway between Ballarat and Geelong and often go up for day visits. It was so sad when it was empty because of the drought. Black swans are another favourite, a lovely capture.
