Today I ventured out into my backyard looking for a photo and remembered these mushrooms I had photographed a few weeks ago. Thought I'd take them today to help catch up this week - well think again! They are now just a black mush! So I have dug this original one up to cover today.
Illness progress? Well, yes beginning to feel a bit better, have now unpacked, taking less pain killers but have developed a horrible burning rash on my chest! I think I have experienced every symptom possible now :(
you poor thing. I have followed that you are unwell but have missed why? Is this the result of chemo? I do hope everything settles down soon and that you feel able to enjoy getting out rather than forcing yourself as seems to be at present. I have thee in my garden. It would be nice if they were edible but a. I don't know and therefore won't touch but b. seem a little unappetising.
After all you've been through, I can see why you weren't satisfied to photograph "mush"! It sounds as though the road to wellness is not a straight line...So sorry you've has such miserable symptoms!
This is a great shot. There's such an amazing variety of fungus and it's a great subject for a photo. It's the wrong time of year here so it's good to see yours.
So sorry you're still not feeling great. That was one nasty bug you caught. Take things easy for a while.
I have gone through your previous photos, some of which I have missed. That must have been one terrible virus you caught. Sorry for that and that you had to return home abruptly. Hope you are well very soon. This is a pretty shot.
I'm so sorry the troubles continue because of the illness. I'm sure you're thinking "enough with it already". There were just a whole lot of mushrooms growing here. They definitely don't last long. The little group of 'roons in my Danbo picture the other day were completely black and shriveled the next morning so it's a good thing I didn't put off taking the picture.
glad you're sort of better. Mushrooms are sort of like birds and other wildlife. You have to photograph them when you see them. You do seem to have a bit longer of a window than with a bird, who really won't sit still for camera.
@callymazoo Thanks for your concern Cally. I'm fortunate this "bug" is a true virus and not the result of chemo. It has dealt my sister and I some challenging issues and from this I admire people's strengths that go through chemo etc as it must be so deliberating. @sangwann Thanks Dione. One week down with this horrible virus - hopefully only one more week left :) @peterlgrave Clever one :)
@terryliv I know you'll find this hard to believe but not a drop of champers or any other alcohol has passed lips for nearly 2 weeks now! Look out for when I'm drug-free and can drink :)

Goodness me, you have really been steam-rollered by this virus haven't you.
A couple of Champers should fix it all Denise - but then again I suspect you have already tried that.
