When I posted my spring photo of a wattkebird "flying into spring" several people said they did not know what one looked like. So here he is indulging in the echium bush that was also in the photo :) They have a terrible squark and are extremely bossy of the cute honeyeaters who love the bush too!
I was one who said I didn't know what a wattlebird was....now having seen this, I'm pretty sure we get them in our native grevilleas etc....well, at least it looks like the same bird. I never knew what they were called though....thanks for sharing :)
