Simpson's Gap by gilbertwood

Simpson's Gap

Our Simpson desert adventure is now over - after our rest days in Alice Springs, we headed off into the West MacDonnell ranges to see some amazing sights! Simpson's Gap was our first stop over and it didn't disappoint. It's a dry creek bed that winds through the gap in the mountain range.
Beautifully captured Denise with a nice depth of field.

I find it remarkable that the sand is white, and the earth is red. Wonderful scenery.

We went there when visiting Oz a few years ago and it was full of water so my hubby and sons were swimming in it. It must have been very arid whilst you were there. Nice shot - and memory for me!!

@lyndamcg Thanks. How wonderful to see it full of water - we often discussed how good it would be to see many of these places with water running :)
