After seeing the snow on top of Mt Wellington / Kunanyi from Catherine's window, we quickly set off for a drive to the top. It sure didn't disappoint! Interestingly, the last time we visited Catherine 8 years ago, it snowed and she took us up there - but at least that was in the middle of winter! This time it's one month away from summer :)
We went to Tassie in mid November many years ago and were almost snowed in at Cradle Mountain. Went down to Hobart and it snowed at Mt Wellington. Then headed up to some place south of Hobart and it snowed again. Fantatsic
Oh this is so wonderful! We Adored Tasmania! We were in the village of Ross on Ken's 50th birthday (June 1st) and when we stepped outside the back door, there was a paddock with frost covered sheep! What a sight! (So NOT Southern California!)
@judithdeacon No, it was all gone the day after - but you never know what will happen :) @Weezilou Ross is a beautiful little town - and of course the frost covered sheep would have been a great sight for you and Ken :) @jamibann And you wouldn't expected a snow scene from Australia :)
