Driving around Camperdown I soon saw where the St Patrick's day fires had passed through. I was in Vietnam when they occurred and it is still scary to see where they have been.
Such devastation, it was a dreadful fire wasn't it. I am amazed though how quick the bush recovers. We had a bushfire here a few months ago and everything has now grown back. The real tragedy is when houses and wildlife are lost, they don't grow back.
Those fires were very bad and the weather was terrible for the fireies with awful winds. Everyone here was watching the western sky and wondering how Camperdown was faring.
