Local artist, Jimmi Buscombe practiced a 3D drawing with chalk on the railway bridge beside his house. Another person, Phil Hoye, living on the other side of the bridge noticed cars slowing down, so went to investigate. When he saw the amazing wombat, and only in chalk, he decided it needed to be preserved, so he painted over it with a clear varnish! Jimmi returned to wash off the wombat as he hadn't got permission to draw it, only to find it was now permanent!! Then the neighbours met each other. It's such a feel-good story and it went viral on facebook and u-tube :) Here is Jimmi's web site if you're interested in the story - https://www.jimmibuscombe.com/public-art
