ANZAC day with a difference by gilbertwood

ANZAC day with a difference

Due to the restrictions of social distancing there were no public services today for ANZAC. However there was a big push for us to go out in our driveways with torches/candles for the dawn service at 6am which would be broadcast via radio/technology. There were 3 of us in my small street.
I have loved all the knitted poppies everyone made, they are real treasures and honestly such a symbol of the quarantine!

We were out in the rain at 6am with several of our neighbours. It was a much later start to Anzac Day than we usually have because we weren't cooking breakfast for the local Dawn service.
