This is Rachel, our younger daughter, who has been staying with us for a week. During her stay we had a girls’ night out for a meal (including sundaes and mojitos) and theatre trip.
I took this shot with my mobile. It’s lovely to see her smiling. Rachel suffered an attack of Bell’s Palsy in 2009 which has left her with a slightly crooked mouth and an eye which doesn’t completely close. This makes her self-conscious about having her photo taken but she was happy for me to use this one.
A yummy desert and a nice photo . Hi Rachel you look great know how self conscious one can be after Bell's Palsy -- I suffered with this back in 1968 ( probably well before you were born ) and I still feel the weakness in that side of my face !
Poor girl, she looks very happy (so would I be with that desert in front of me)! I had a TIA a few years ago and one of my eyes droops. I was pretty self conscious about it for ages but now don't often think about it.
