I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
I open my laptop and what's the first thing I see - knew it was yours hahahaha - it does look very bleak indeedy - the sun is shining here at the moment but there are clouds so it may or may not last
@kimkyra Slipping into my cardigan as we speak... @kt8ird Thanks very much - it's now quite calm...bizarre @brigette Thanks very much :) @drfleury14 And it wasn't the biggest one either, but it was the best shot...I kept getting blown sideways @bigugly Thanks very much, not so good for my hair though...sigh @annied The first thing I saw when I opened my laptop was another bill! @amandal Thanks very much :) @spanner Thanks - it's calmed down quite a lot now. Bah humbug. @voiceprintz Thank you very much :) @creativefool Thanks - that's how I roll @888rachel I like storms, my hair has other opinions on the matter :) @epcello Thanks very much - I nearly got blown off my view point @golftragic The temperature did drop subsantially - and oddly enough there is an old ship wreck a wee bit further south of this point @rosiekerr Thanks very much - I loved the driving rain, can't help but be happy when it drives right into my eyes and blinds me ;) @ukandie1 You suppose correctly but thank you anyway :) @bill_fe Thanks very much good sir :) @maggiemae Thank you very much indeed :) @joemuli Can't be helped and thanks very much :) @harbie Indeed, and it wasn't the biggest one either - just the best shot as I kept having to hang on tot he sign I was leaning on. Or get blown off the cliff top. @cailts It does at that, thanks very much :)
@annied It was an interesting bill though. Here's the story that goes with it:
My mobile phone was on contract with Vodafone, along with the landline, interweb and TV, but since my mobile contract had expired 3 months ago I finally got around to going back to a humble prepay. It's all I need. Within 12 hours of switching I was the lucky recipient of an email from Vodafone to inform me that as I no longer had a mobile contract with them that the price of the landline, interweb and TV would be increasing by $25 per month.
Unlike them I got straight on the phone and called them and they confirmed that it was indeed going up unless I put my mobile back on a contract.
I told them stick it up their arse, along with the rest of my business.
Somewhat miraculously the price has now gone down and is less than I was paying originally.
Lesson for today: You can get discount by threatening to insert a sky decoder, telephone and modem into someone's posterior.
@graemestevens
I learned that lesson a while ago and have employed it often since - it is one very good lesson to know - all the telcos use the mobile plan to bring prices down - they really want that business
@annied Yes, but this new method of getting discount has inspired me. From now on I'm going to take my phone, sky box and modem to the supermarket with me and wave them threateningly at the check out staff...
