Nothing

For miles and miles and miles...no civilisation, no mobile phone coverage, no internet, no people, just the Taranaki Hill Country...having said that, I'm sure that there will be a plethora of rednecks hunkered down in those hills awaiting armageddon or the discovery of Bigfoot, whichever happens first.
That is an awesome view. It is amusing watching that show Doomsday preppers. And sadly, there is a show about finding Bigfoot. Stay classy Discovery Channel.

November 26th, 2014
I guess you could keep some goats there as you hunker down. As long as there's water somewhere. Looks vaguely inhospitable.
November 26th, 2014
Love the monochromatic coloring. Makes for a nicely dramatic landscape.
November 26th, 2014

Excellent Graeme. The scenery looks great in B&W. NZ landscapes are truly stunning.
We did a trip to NZ in 2013 and felt we were going from one film set to another as we travelled up from the very south of South Island to close to the top of North Island. Unfortunately there is only so much you can fit into a holiday visit.
November 27th, 2014
@pools82 Thanks very much - it has it's stunning parts, we didn't really appreciate it until we lived overseas for 7 years...always the way
November 27th, 2014
Great B&W. Are them there hills really filled with Yahoos... or is that just GS story telling ? ;)
November 27th, 2014
@lisatown I'm not brave enough to venture in there to confirm
November 27th, 2014
Oh, I know I faved this earlier (my "drive by" habit of late) but now I'm visiting. Lucky you! I have a 2 minute break and thought I better get in a comment before I can't! I love this in bw, and I think I see a redneck hanging out on the field to the left, but that just might be a bush. Not much difference--oh, crap, I did not say that. :)
December 2nd, 2014
@darylo Thanks again - and bush/redneck..no difference ;)
