Signs of Life

After much time studying and training, Mrs. S started her new job today as "baker and prep chef" at a local cafe. This meant that life began for us at 4.30am this morning...I was less than happy about this but when you share a bed with someone apparently it is mandatory for you to be awake at the same time and lending support, however bleary eyed.
On the bright side, I am now entitled to half price coffee and cake(s) at said cafe.
7pm bedtimes for you two then

very interesting shot, and best wishes to Mrs S on her new venture...

@kali66 I didn't even know that the day had TWO 4.30's in it!!!
@jack4john Thanks and thanks, although to be fair I don't think it's going to be doing my figure any favours

Love this. Congrats and best wishes to Mrs. S
December 8th, 2015
I also love this! How wonderful for Mrs S and you (for the cake bit, not the early mornings!)
December 8th, 2015
Lovely shot. Could you not sneak back to bed for an hour or two, then you be bright eyed and bushy tailed when Mrs S arrived home with some of that delicious unsold cake? Dinner ready prepared for her of course.

Jae
Yeah, this is a winner!
December 8th, 2015
That's a bit of an early start, congrats on her new job though!
December 8th, 2015
I reckon the sneaking back to bed that @365projectorgsebgritt suggests is the best option! You have to maintain some shreds of dignity!
December 8th, 2015
This is a really cool shot - despite of my feet-phobia, I actually enjoyed it a lot.
December 8th, 2015
Very nice :)
December 8th, 2015
Love the sand footprints! And best of luck to Mrs. S in her new adventure (which is also yours by default)... 04:30 yikes... tough one!
December 8th, 2015
You can get out for sunrises, no problem!
December 8th, 2015
@shepherdmanswife I don't see why I should have to!
@kerosene More than a tough one, unbearable! I'm going to need some wine.
@hermann Thanks very much :)
@vera365 Thanks very much - sorry to bring your phobia to mind!
@maggiemae Well yes, but once the lights on the dogs expect attention...
@overalvandaan Just a touch!!!
@lifepause Thanks very much :)
@365projectorgsebgritt Once the lights are on the dogs expect attention as well so i'm guessing sneaking back isn't going to be an option...and my figure will never be the same again!
@dibzgreasley Thanks very much and yes, she's a clever wee wifey
@kategoring Thank you, thank you and thank you :)
December 8th, 2015
Love the footprints! Well done to your wife - sounds like a great job - except for the hours! Looks like you will be going to bed early and discovering early mornings with the dogs and your camera of course! Fav!
December 8th, 2015
Love the depth of this
December 8th, 2015
@graemestevens your landscapes are very good so you could make them even better with a bit of early light being as you have to get up so early now!
December 8th, 2015
Great reward for the early rising! Have you considered just staying up til 4:30, then sleeping after you've made her coffee and b'fast and she's off to work?
December 8th, 2015
love this. can you email some of the 1/2 price cake to me as an attachment?
December 9th, 2015
Wonderful shot! Will we be expecting lots of sunrise shots then? Good luck to Mrs S on her new job.
December 9th, 2015
nice!
December 9th, 2015
@lsquared Thank you kindly :)
@888rachel Good lord no, I'm going back to bed ;)
@bill_fe I could build a really big catapult and point it in the right direction - you just need to stand outside with your mouth open then...
@taffy There's a flaw to that plan - one of the perks of the job is that she gets free breakfasts at work...
@shepherdmanswife Not going to happen, too lazy to leave the house at that time of day ;)
@carla42 Thanks very much :)
@pamknowler Thanks very much - I plan on going to bed very early. Probably at about 4.31am
December 9th, 2015
You've heard it before but- best light is early light. Anyway you don't have too many others to bother you when you're out then.
December 9th, 2015
@joysabin There is that, but it's still far too early for this kid
December 9th, 2015
What's that song again? Always look on the bright side? Please partake of said coffee and cake for me.
December 9th, 2015
@golftragic That would be the very song, and I don't mind if I do
December 9th, 2015
@graemestevens Please don't stint yourself.
December 9th, 2015
Every cloud has a silver lining.
December 9th, 2015
@joansmor Every silver lining has a cloud ;)
December 9th, 2015
@graemestevens I knew you would say that!
December 9th, 2015
i am not a fan of the wake early to lend support mantra - if I have to wake at an ungodly hour for such things I prefer to be alone in my misery and I expect others to feel the same
December 10th, 2015
oh - and the lovely sand is ruined by the humaness - and that's a word!
December 10th, 2015
@annied a word that should be spelled with two n's - humanness - oops
December 10th, 2015
@annied I'll take your word for the word as I can't be bothered to check...too tired ;)
December 10th, 2015
@graemestevens of course no need to check as you know how right i can be
December 10th, 2015
Respect to Kim best wishes for her new roll, err.... sorry, role.
December 10th, 2015
Is there life at 4:30 a.m.? Like the shot.
December 10th, 2015
@yrhenwr Until Tuesday I was unaware of it, but if there is it's only just
@vignouse Ha! I see what you did there. Personally I'm quite fond of her buns.
December 10th, 2015
Oh, the horror of getting up that early! I am not sure any amount of half priced coffee would make up for it!!
December 17th, 2015
@panthora I'm not sure it will either and I've been trying for a week now!
