Below is the Whanganui River and the country that it travels through on it's way to the sea - off in the distance is Mount Ruapehu. The road I drove today hugs the river as it makes it's way through all these valleys and is often closed due to flooding, slips and poor maintenance...but today it was open which is just as well as I had a client to meet out in the middle of nowhere.

Fantastic in b&w, shows off all the topography so well. To my eye this vista is typically NZ. Love it, and can't wait to get across the ditch again. Fav for me.

The black & white really shows off the undulations of the NZ terrain so well. All the trees in their different shapes & then the Whanganui threading its way through.....so typical of NZ but a completely alternative take on it.
