The Whole Hole by graemestevens

The Whole Hole

It was a longer walk than anticipated to get to this point and, while walking it came to my attention that the tide did not recede that far here so I had to be in and out quicker than a teenagers first sexual experience. Also...bloody hell, colour!
That's an awesome photo, fantastic eye

Well thats a new phrase that I've learnt. My mother told me not to associate with people like you! You needed the colour of the cliff to frame this great spot!

@maggiemae I like to teach people something new everyday ;) And thank you.
@shylaine3304 Thank you very much :)

Bloody colour indeed! I do like how you've described how quickly you were in and out, it makes up for the lack of b/w!

@bill_fe I can describe it that way because I can, if you'll pardon the pun, very well remember my own short comings ;)

@graemestevens I have enjoyed my shortcomings too. I had a lot of them!

Lol you have a way with words, you do realize... :) Very cool whole hole.

@bill_fe Yep...for my own part, more than I care to admit.
@kerosene My whole hole thanks you ;)

Interesting conglomerate rock formations :)

You may be someone who hates selective colour and will hate this idea but I'd be tempted to take the colour out of the cliff and just leave it in the window portion of the photo. May be too cheesy or manipulative a treatment for some but I think the contrast would be good.

A nice colour capture :)

It offers a sneak peek - both to the scenery and to the way of the world.......

Oh and I like it in colour, not sure it would pack the same punch in black and white!

I was going Graeme has a rush of blood to the head he's done colour then I read the words and nearly choked.

Strangely,I like the colour in the rock, but not in the distant grass. Once I would have suggested that this might be good in b & w! (The sooner I get back to the true religion, the better!) As for sexual experience as a teenager I am fortunate in being old enough never to have had any!

Yes, colour! I try and guess the photographer as I scroll down my newsfeed - your name would have been at the bottom of the list as the creator of this image (but not of the text...). I love the geology in the cliff.

@littlequeenie Thank you very much - I like to keep people on their toes ;)
@yrhenwr I tried this in B&W, several times, and could not get it to work at all...it was distressing to me
@pasttheirprime What can I say...I like to keep people on their toes ;)
@salza It didn't work at all in B&W, and thank you
@paul10 Thank you kindly ;)
@gardencat I didn't think of doing that - I tried it in colour and B&W and it just didn't work in B&W at all - thanks!
@hermann Conglomerate is a wonderful word :)

What's the matter with you now? Such a moaner, winge, winge.....
What's with the colour? A great improvement!

Gives a whole new perspective on holes. Love that framing.

@psychographer Thank you very much :)
@shepherdmanswife I need to complain - I wouldn't be me if I wasn't bitter, twisted and cynical ;)
@golftragic Thank you - there's nothing like a good hole

Spectacular use of the natural in framing this capture - so well done!

@graemestevens And no riposte to that one either, not one I can put in here.
