@northy Could you maybe wish me a sharp knife and a swift exit?
July 22nd, 2016

July 22nd, 2016
@graemestevens no... You WILL be the better person... (Although if, ahem, push came to shove, I would gladl help you bury the body)
July 22nd, 2016
Wishing you luck in the next couple of weeks!
July 22nd, 2016
@northy Offer accepted...at least I'd finally get my hands on that human skull ;)
@radiogirl Thank you very much - I dare say we won't see much of them
July 22nd, 2016
Nice shot!! Great editing. Sounds like you're in for an interesting couple of weeks... good luck!!
July 22nd, 2016
Oh, I've got crazy in my genetic pool. Who doesn't. Don't accept bait. It will be too predictable. And you can pick and choose your moments together. :)
July 22nd, 2016
Don't hold back, I love that you bare your feelings. Can't wait for the photos, hope they're not too bloody.
July 22nd, 2016
love the rain overlay on this
July 22nd, 2016
John-Boy Walton v. Hannibal Lecter --- more entertainment than tonight's Brumbys V. Highlanders game!
July 22nd, 2016
Siblings! My brother is also a rascist, paranoid Trump man. I have to talk nicely to him but he is 3,000 miles away. The need for contact us because my mom, who has dementia, and my sick brother who has Down's syndrome are in his care and he does good with that. Good luck with your family time.
July 22nd, 2016
@pandorasecho Thanks very much - families are a blast aren't they?
@ltodd He doesn't stand a chance...
@blueberry1222 Thank you very much :)
@susiangelgirl I'm not world renowned for bottling things up...
@darylo I'm going to be a good boy...although there may be some wild gesturing behind his back ;)
@kwind Thank you - we won't see too much of them...we haven't cancelled our life to be with them
July 22nd, 2016
Good luck! Cracking image.
July 22nd, 2016
Hang in there...this, too, shall pass. Love your image today. I would be afraid...very afraid!
July 22nd, 2016
Sounds like it's going to be a fun visit & some photos we can benefit from because of your agro, families hey! I thought these might be a tongue in cheek comments but I think you actually mean them!! Can't wait for the steam coming out of the head!!
July 22nd, 2016
Oh, dear... this speaks to your mood, that's for sure! Always fun to see that sheep's skull. Good luck with your family festivities.
July 22nd, 2016
Oh good lord what a relatable image and narrative!
July 22nd, 2016
wonderful image! very dark - you are so good at this
July 22nd, 2016
@hrs Thank you very much - it's just how I roll. Believe it or not, I'm a big ol' pussy cat.
@amandalockie It seems to be sticking a few chords - thank goodness I'm not the only one!!!
@rosiekerr Thank you very much - hopefully I won't have blood on my hands...
@happypat I can't wait...I've been not looking forward to it for months now...
@jetr Thank you very much...don't mention hanging ;)
@spanner Thank you very much, on both counts.
July 22nd, 2016
Bleh! Good luck with that, hopefully you're able to have a lot of alone time during those two weeks... I wish you that much. Meanwhile this is a very cool shot. He'd better behave before he adorns your shot with his skull...
July 22nd, 2016
It is one of the most unfair realities of life, you can't choose family. I choose to remain no closer than 8 hours by car to mine so I get limits. They feel the same and we are all okay with limited exposure to each other. Patience and find a silent scream zone for release.
About the image, understated power but great non the less.
July 22nd, 2016
Jeez :( so sad you're feeling blue, hope everything goes okay
July 22nd, 2016
I'm seeing lots of potential pictures showing fire and bones coming up! Never easy dealing with family when outlooks are vastly different. Wishing you strength and restraint for the next two weeks.
July 22nd, 2016
Wishing you well in the next few difficult weeks.
July 22nd, 2016
@harbie Thank you very much :)
@salza Thank you very much - and you may well get those shots ;)
@shylaine3304 It will, because I can always leave with dignity.
@joysabin Thank you very much - I have my "internal scream zone" at the ready ;)
@kerosene Thank you kindly - he'll behave. I will, so he will.
July 22nd, 2016
I'm sure you'll at least come up with some really inspired evil shots while he's here though!
July 22nd, 2016
Oh dear. Wishing you lots of strength. Family can be interesting, they do know exactly which buttons to press.
July 22nd, 2016
I would think he is intimidated by your superior intellect and talent, hard to imagine you being so different.
July 22nd, 2016
Maybe its the final backlash against the loss of Empire after all these decades ... when its over perhaps the UK, or whats left of it, can accept its true place in the world, unlikely as that seems at the moment. A period of national meditation is required... perhaps you can take the opportunity to lead a session? Deep breaths... count to as many as it takes....Good luck!
July 22nd, 2016
Ha, great photo! I missed the narrative, probably, but it sounds like you're going to spend some good time in the near future... Should one wish good luck to you or to someone else? ;-)
July 22nd, 2016
@domenicododaro Definitely to someone else - I had to remove the narrative for...reasons...
@yrhenwr I could be counting for a while...but at least you've made sense ;)
@jack4john It strikes me that we are very, very different souls...
@dibzgreasley They do and they never hesitate...
@katrinanz That's exactly how I'm choosing to look at it...
July 22nd, 2016
I much prefer the wolf - although lamb tastes better ;-)
July 22nd, 2016
ohhhhh send me the narrative - I was drinking wine and missed it - I'm sure I can relate hahahahaha
July 22nd, 2016
Shame about removing the narrative. Sometimes I think that social media is really crap! Mostly, in fact! Reasoned discussion is all but impossible. And to anyone who reads this and is agitated by what I have just said, SOD OFF!
July 22nd, 2016
Oops I forgot the :-)
July 22nd, 2016
Ooo what was the narrative? I'm so intrigued now. Hope you're ok. A fantastic image either way.

And to @yrhenwr I don't know about being ofended but you made me laugh :) :) :)
July 22nd, 2016
Like a glorious painting, mysterious. A must follow. Your photos are pure art. Something to learn. Wow and fav!
July 22nd, 2016
Your images often provoke the weirdest, seemingly unrelated (yet obviously related somehow by my subconscious) song lyrics. One look at this and the line "don't fear the reaper" popped into my head. Why? Sometimes, you frighten me. More often, I frighten myself.
July 22nd, 2016
@gardencat I'm having a bad enough trip just looking at another Stevens selfie but now you've got me playing blue oyster music as well its got so much worse! :-)
@graemestevens
July 22nd, 2016
are you trying to get a tune out of it? And rain today - fetch Mr Freud
July 22nd, 2016
@theboxmanreturns I'm sure he'd have a field day with my head...
@yrhenwr Social media can be a bastard especially when we make such a habit out of being offended by everything.
@gardencat Good lord, what a strange thing to do ;)
@daisyditch Thank you so much :)
@paul10 I'm fabulous, the narrative was family related...
@annied I wish I'd been drinking wine - from memory the narrative went "blah blah blah, family, blah blah"
July 22nd, 2016
Lee
Good shot. Atmospheric as we've come to expect.
July 22nd, 2016
What a fabulous collection of comments! I know I slagged off social media, but you really got it working so well here. You have gathered a great set of supportive, appreciative friends. I must take a look at some of their photos!
July 22nd, 2016
@graemestevens gotcha....the blah blah is a pain in the arse
July 22nd, 2016
Have fun. Great shot
July 22nd, 2016
@rachelwithey Thank you :)
@annied That it is, that it is
@yrhenwr They are reasonably wonderful aren't they? I have to hand it to this place, it's quite different from any other social media.
@gamelee Thank you very much :)
July 22nd, 2016
Well, looks as if I missed something...apart from the usual impressive shot xx
July 24th, 2016
@psychographer Thank you - I had to remove the commentary for...reasons
July 24th, 2016
@graemestevens Ok, nuff said but reading between the lines (or making assumptions from what others have commented) I hope your next few days (weeks/months?) pass without too much trauma/drama etc. with the exception of photography drama of course xx
July 24th, 2016
@psychographer It's only 2 weeks, it's my brother that's over from the UK...we don''t exactly see eye to eye, mainly because I'm not a racist bigot and have been known to point that out. And then he joined 365 so I felt compelled to remove my original commentary rather than rock the already fragile boat too much.
July 24th, 2016
@graemestevens Completely understandable and I'm so glad you're not a racist bigot otherwise I'd have to unfollow you. I know the feeling as I work with plenty and it's hard not to bite my tongue but then I have to see them everyday and it's hard to change that mentality anyway. Chin up and two weeks will be over before you know it xx
