"To create one's world in any of the arts takes courage"
Georgia O'Keefe

This one seems to work best on black if you have the time.
Wonderfully courageous... I really like the light and tones... I need to ponder the meaning of this a bit more...

Very cool. We just went to a Georgia O'Keefe exhibition in Maine!

@lifepause So no I'm slightly jealous....and thank you :)
@northy Thank you very much - I've always liked O'Keefe's work. especially the fact that she hated flowers but painted them because they were cheaper than models and didn't move!

You should sell your prints! Your work is unique and so completely awesome

@shylaine3304 Thank you so much - Mrs S. is applying gentle pressure to get me to exhibit next year..."nerve wracking" would be putting it politely!

Seen the original inspiration for this, like your spin on it. Have to say it is one of my fav's of all the fav's I have given you. Love it !
August 6th, 2016
@graemestevens you totally should! You will do so well

Awesome creation. And we can view these on black?
August 6th, 2016
@karlow75 Thank you, just click on the image and it open on a black ground...or close your eyes, which is preferable with some of my work.
@ukandie1 Thank you so much - always appreciated :)

I'm sorry to admit that I don't know who Georgia is! Your still life is certainly still - actually been still for a long long time!

I like this. Great with this little bit of mystery colours and the natural symmetry is great. And of course the creative idea I have to mention too.

@maggiemae Geogia O'Keefe: https://www.okeeffemuseum.org/about-georgia-okeeffe/ And, as always, thank you :)
@mona65 Thank you very much - it was really just a quick set up on an otherwise cold and windy day
August 6th, 2016
Awesome. And I do agree with Mrs. S. Only complain that I would not be able to attend!
August 6th, 2016
@domenicododaro Thank you very much - and please stop agreeing with Mrs S. It's just as worrying.
August 6th, 2016
It does look great on black. And you should listen to Mrs S!
August 6th, 2016
@katrinanz Thank you very much and if Mrs S ever finds out that people are agreeing with her...
August 6th, 2016
You do show the famine side of you with such a "pretty" decoration. Looks against black indeed.
August 6th, 2016
Georgia O'Keefe certainly changed the way we look at certain things and made objects like the skull her own. I think you've done a great job with this still life
August 6th, 2016
She would have liked this I think... and Mrs S's must be listened to - trust me, I know ;~}
August 6th, 2016
very creative - fav
August 6th, 2016
I love your take on her!!! Of course your version would have skulls... Awesome.
August 6th, 2016
@kerosene Well...yes...and thank you :)
@pdulis Thank you very much :)
@vignouse At some point I'll stop being stubborn, throw my hands in the air and concede defeat but until such time I will not listen at all...and she knows this.
@hrs Thank you very much :)
@yaorenliu Thank you very much :)
