New Plymouth has two "Sister Cities" (I don't know why they can't be "brother cities" - awfully sexist if you ask me), Mishima in Japan and Kunming in China. They give us a distinctly Asian themed garden to wander and relax in, we give them a selection of low slung and slightly brown native grasses and ferns that do not thrive in their climate...seems like a far trade.

Yes indeed! And fantastic shot... perfect in b&w of course. In French it makes sense, 'sister cities' since it's a feminine word (nothing is an 'it'), but in English I suppose it sounds a bit unfair... like that trade :)
