It's been one of those days so this will have to do I'm afraid. Yes, it is in colour. Yes, I feel quite fine thank you. Yes, my phojo has buggered off again.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
So glad you're feeling fine. Color, in moderation can be good for the soul. A piece of unsolicited advice...Pretend you don't care and the phono will come slinking back. Hang tight.
Ok fine. But don't make a habit of it. Next thing youll be tiptoeing through tulips... Kidding. You can photograph whatever you like. It still looks great to us!
@nickspicsnz If we're thinking of the same place that would be Kawaroa Park, although that boat has been gone for a long time now. This was taken at Back Beach, or just up the road from the beach anyway. @silverhorn Thank you very much :) @alinz Thanks very much - I believe there may have been a slight shake this morning although I was having a shave at the time and it's all about priorities @bizziebeeme Thank you very much :) @dide It was only a little tremor...I was shaving at the time so I could only focus on one thing @deborah63 Thank you very much :) @scotthouston Thank you very much - I've been to the top (once). It gets colder. @maggiemae Thank you very much :) @katrinanz Thank you very much - the chances of me tiptoeing are fairly minimal @golftragic Thank you kindly, always appreciated. @rosiekerr It's a constant trial ;) @kerosene Thank you kindly, the photo ain't too bad either ;) @jetr Thank you very much :) @mcsiegle I'm hanging...tight or otherwise @blueberry1222 It serves a purpose ;) @888rachel Thank you very much :)
@julzmaioro I'm just pleased I was sitting down when I read that... @yrhenwr It's probably down there somewhere, disturbing the wildlife... @jesperani I declined to post this on that particular page and instead offered up one of my earlier blood-soaked images ;) @joysabin That's the way it usually goes - my colour shots seem to function as some sort of warning... @darylo It's a very kind offer but I think I'll have to decline! @kt8ird Thank you very much :) @bill_fe This particular mountain has two names - Mount Egmont (if you're a European settler) or Mount Taranaki if you're not. There's a long and convoluted history behind the ongoing name argument... @novab Thank you very much indeed :) @susale Thank you very much :) @rachelpeony Thank you very much :) @hermann Thank you very much :) @tonygig Thank you very much :) @annied It is colour - I believe that my colour shots function as a warning for an impending explosion of morbidity, fire and blood. @domenicododaro Thank you very much :) @pistache Thank you very much, always appreciated
TaranakiEgmont I never know it's proper name but a mountain instantly recognisable anywhere in the world. The only one that is similar I think is Mount Errigal in Donegal Ireland. Much smaller but the same conical shape. Fave. I love it! It dominates the area so much!
@jerome Thank you very much :) @rachelwithey I know! I'm in shock...and thank you @happypat Thank you very much - the naming is and always has been a contentious issue...perhaps Egginaki would be better.
@taffy Thank you very much - it's an okay view ;) @overalvandaan I quite like it... @hiro Thank you very much :) @cottiac I may have to build a bunker.
Darn it. ;)
A fine pic. Peter Jackson would be proud.
Is this taken from near a park/play area by a pond in New Plymouth that has a sort of boat shaped climbing frame (can't remember what it's called)?
@silverhorn Thank you very much :)
