I'm on the road again for most of the next two weeks, travelling far and wide across the country to sit a fair mix of both theory and practical exams, at the end of which I "should" be a fully qualified and certified NACE Coatings Inspector...it's a rock n roll lifestyle.
This is just a shot taken with my phone of my current "life". That large folder next to the keys is mostly ISO Standards and procedures and I need learn and commit large chunks of it to memory before my final theory exam on Tuesday of next week, so please forgive the sad lack of commenting and intermittent photo posting.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
@caterina Blimey, I don't know that I can recall either...National Association of Corrosion Engineers Coating Inspector...basically I get to make sure people clean surfaces and then apply paint correctly, then we all stand around and watch it dry. No really...
All best ( luck is for unprepared!!). When in real life will you ever NOT refer to the published ISO documents?? So silly to make you regurgitate facts that will change frequently!!
Your photography is inspiring but your career choice is brilliant! Getting paid to watch paint dry... why didn't I know this was a career option?
Good luck with achieving all the necessary credentials.
@graemestevens That is the career I should have chosen, standing around and watching paint dry...wait, I've worked for state, city and county governments, that should qualify.
Ah, the life of student.... learn, regurgitate, get the piece of paper and then party... no way to top the getting paid to watch paint dry. Seriously, best of luck.
Good luck with achieving all the necessary credentials.
Good luck on the tests.
Thanks all - you're legends. And I'm braindead but we'll give this shit a crack and see what happens ;)
