Forsythia by grammyn

Forsythia

For all my friends in the northern hemisphere that are under inches or feet of snow. My forsythia has started blooming.
Ummmm...is that supposed to make us feel better as we dig out today?? ha ha It's a breath of spring to see these yellow flowers!

Love this photo. We just got the first rain, cold and wind since Winter started. I photographed the tree across the street from us yesterday and realized it has started getting ready to bloom. My cat is smarter as he is in hibernation mode. Talking about major confusion to plants, animals and humans. At least it will clear the air and maybe help allergies and all the sickness going around.

So nice to see what we can look forward too...my lilac tree is always the first to show signs of spring..but I think the tree is all confused..we have it very cold at this moment..but then it warms up again and the plants don't know what's going on.

@nyusha Thanks,Anna. It is a little unusual to see it this early here but we have had a very mild winter. I hope it doesn't turn cold again because we will lose everything that is starting to grow ..
