Ode to MaryBeth by grammyn

Ode to MaryBeth

As I was going to my car today to pick up my granddaughter from "school" carrying my camera, a film camera, my purse, my keys, and a birthday card to mail for my grandson I heard this bird and then saw him take a lazy swoop toward the tree and land.

My friend MaryBeth @espyetta always gets great shots of birds so I wanted to try for one she would be proud of. Juggling all I was carrying, I removed the lens cap of my camera, adjusted the settings, and got ready to shoot. It started raining and he moved ........to the top of the tree. One shot before my cameras, the card, my purse and I get wet. I think it turned out OK
Very nice. Great DOF in the shot!

February 4th, 2012

He turned out AWESOME! That is a great capture and even with all that stuff to juggle about. I love/hate me some Mockingbird! hahaha! Thanks for posting!
February 6th, 2012
and...I need to ask...did he ATTACK you when you were helpless, picking up your stuff off the wet ground. LOL!
February 6th, 2012
@espyetta Thank you so very much. I was totally thinking of you when I shot it. I know how you feel about Mockingbirds. No, He did not attack me as the one did you last summer so I didn't have to pick up anything! He was across the street from me.
February 6th, 2012
@grammyn Oh, you and your stuff got wet just because it was raining..not because they fell on the ground. Got it!
