My yard was COVERED in Robins and a few other kinds of birds today. I would need 20 albums to post all the interesting shots I took. They were in the lawn looking for food and gathered around a planter base that was filled with water. I put a few more water supplies out for them including this pail and then waited in the house by the window.
@deburahiru I appreciate it so much. i had taken another one but there was a twig showing that marred the composition so I had to wait for another bird! I am so glad you like it,Deb!
Beautiful. You have done a great job of combining color and textures in this shot. Really nice. And I'm incredibly jealous -- it will be awhile before we see a robin.
@debbim I'm sorry you won't have robins for a while. I thought they might be on their way north because they were in my yard for a couple of hours and there were so many of them. We usually have very few. They were probably on their way to you! I'm glad you liked the shot, Debbi. Thanks for you kind words.
Wow, what awesome detail of this beautiful bird and surrounding area that you captured so wonderfully. I have never seen a robin this close up. Very pretty bird.
Beautiful capture of the little "Spring" bird! And our yard just got covered by snow today! Cold and blistery here. What a wonderful opportunity for you to get photos with these guys.
I think that this same flock flew through here two days ago. The migration is definately happening. They mentioned this nice lady in Alabama who put water out for them and how she is now on their bucket list.
He comes bob bob bobbin' along ? I love those days when I get lots of shot, but also frustrating...deciding what to pick. This one is great! Very clear focus, and the background is lovely....diff. than the usual tree branches...
Very nice shot
