Time Out by grammyn

Time Out

I saw this bike dropped by the doorstep of a neighbor and liked the look of it.
Another "timeless" photo, Katy ... exactly how my girls left their bikes at the doorstep. Love this ... lots of memories for everyone here.

You have a great eye. Reminds me of when my kids were young.

@kimfaria I actually saw it happen and except for the part about going in to dinner you are right. He knocked on the door to see if his friend could play! Thanks,Kim!

Kids just drop it wherever they are.. what happens can't they lean it against a wall or have a kick stand on the bike...i guess they're too much in a hurry these days. admit it makes a good picture Katy.

Great shot here! So what does your neighbor think when you stand by their house taking pictures??? Do they say something like "there is the neighbor with that camera again"??? Just having fun here!

Looks like an old dragster

Nice photo of this older looking bike, Katy. So typical of what today is like, fast paced, drop it and run without leaving it upright.
April 20th, 2012
@peterdegraaff I guess that is a style of bike?
April 20th, 2012
@darsphotos Thanks, Darlene. I think it is a sign of the times!
April 20th, 2012
@grammyn Too bad that this does represent a sign of the times, but it does. Too many in a rush and little things that should happen do not. I cherished my bicycle as I knew how hard my Dad worked for it and how my parents sacrificed to get things for my siblings and me. Just not the same in our disposable and non communicative world. Ok, enough, I do not need to get started.

@darsphotos Not necessary to explain I totally know where you were going and I feel the same!

Isn't that the biggest reminder of carefree summers as a child? I want to get a photo when the neighbor kids do this and there are about 6 bikes in all sizes...so cute.
April 22nd, 2012
@espyetta Now THAT would be a great shot!
