@digitalrn it is evolving But there are still lots of people doing it! All three of my daughters work at it and i hope some day my granddaughters will too. My mother and Grandmother are my role models for this skill!

I have a huge box of threads that were my grandmothers and ended up on a shelf in a back closet here. I have her old sowing box with all the paraphernalia she used. You just gave me an idea for a winter shot!
Glad to hear that you're passing down the skill! I only have sons so I may not have anyone to teach! I don't think my nieces ever learned how to sew...too bad because it sure comes in handy!

Love these colors and the detail of the strands of thread! I sometimes wish I sewed more, but it's not as much fun to sew for me... I'd much rather make cute little things like I did for the kids when they were young. :) Mending and hemming and minor alterations are it for me now... but I am sure glad I now how to do those! :)
You are coming up with some great subjects, Katy! I like the colors and black background in this. I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas the last couple of days.
@deburahiru Confession? I did this while I was on break this summer and got the idea from a thread ad I think. i am glad you like it. I KNOW you will get your MoJO back soon too! It is only temporary and is necessary to force you to think harder about it. ;~}
Pretty colours and thread detail, like the needle as an item of interest. And you do make so many terrifically FABULOUS things for those lucky grandchildren!!!!!

Oh nice!! I would love to see some of your sewing projects. I use to sew very much but don't right now. Very nice colors and who would have ever thought of putting the threads together - very creative.
