Thanks to daylight savings time there was still some light after dinner tonight. A short side trip thanks to my wonderful chauffeur gave me this view of the next town.
This is interesting rose toned light! I love the lines of red and white we call "traffic." haha The rolling hills sort of make the far off city look like a castle or medieval. I guess I have been reading too much Game of Thrones!
I had not realized that we just got an HOUR of sunlight. I always focus on losing the sleep in the morning/dark in the morning. Shame on me. It was getting dark about 7 PM now, so now it will be 8 PM. Spring and summer...here we come!
@espyetta Thanks you so much for your nice comments! God love you darling we don't get any extra light! We now get up in the dark so we can have light later in the day!
An old joke I heard once says it best. one old Indian to another about DST. " Only white man believes cutting off top of blanket and sewing it to bottom makes blanket longer! ;~}
@grammyn Oh yes! I know we don't get an extra light ! Haha! I just meant that we get some at the end of the day...when I can get out with my camera after work and not be going home in the dark. Hee hee! I just did not say that too well! LOL
Fab shot! Is this from the hill we took some shots from when I was there? I got a fairly decent shot of Montgomery that night but you have so much more zoom than mine! Very lovely light!
This shot is so lovely. Someone above mentioned a flying carpet and that is so right. It has a 'desert scene' look to it. You were there at the perfect time for the lighting...enough sun to give the buildings a wonderful glow, and yet dark enough for cars to have their headlights on.
I got a giggle over the 'extra hour of sun' conversation. LOL
@pasadenarose Thanks, Rose! I am really glad you like it so much! You have a fabulous skill for analyzing shots. I knew why I liked it but could never have expressed it so eloquently!
Glad you like the DST conversation too! ;~}
