Fancy schmancy ones. Why, when I was a kid we had to make them out of tin cans. And we had to poke the holes for the strings with our teeth! We raced those uphill in the snow...both ways!

@silverlight Thanks, Cheryl. In our country lots of schools have a day of outdoor activities involving physical games and races towards the end of the school year and call it field day. the whole school participates and it makes for a fun day for the students.
