Power Walk by grammyn

Power Walk

Every time I see these wind turbines they make me think of giant robots of some kind in a science fiction movie.
Love your title! Intriguing shot, with the two in same position and third a little different.

@eudora Thanks, Diane! Glad you liked the title especially.

Very nice capture of the wind turbines and mostly of those rolling hills. Where did you go?

Great shot! Love the title! It is amazing how huge they are. We saw one of the props being transported on the highway. It was TREMENDOUS! :)

Yes, they are coming to take us away

@anazad511 I went to a wedding in the Northwest and spent some time with my parents and sister @marilyn. thanks, Ana.

@luvmynynix Thanks, Laurie, I appreciate it! They are mammoth and it is difficult to tell unless you are much closer to them!

@ellimae Thanks so much, Ellen. I was pleased with how well this turned out as I was riding by in a car.

A great thought to take their picture! Stark and dramatic!

@maggiemae I am so happy you like it. thanks, Maggiemae.

The first thing I noticed was the beautiful rolling hills. Did you notice that 2 of the turbines are in the exact same position. What are the odds? Now why didn't you stand there for hours waiting for the 3rd to get in line? ; ))

@tara11 Thanks, Tara! I was riding by so I had to take what I was given in the shot!

I really like your title and this shot, Katy. This is such a nice and clear shot and love the rolling hills. We have tons of these things in the open area on hills much like this driving towards the Bay Area. I will have to try and photograph ours if I can open the window and take a clear photo going 70mph when we drive that way again.

@grammyn I know, I was kidding :)

@tara11 LOL! Duh! Still recovering from the trip I guess!

@darsphotos Thanks so much, Darlene! It is a fascinating subject and I look forward to seeing what you get.

Vee
What a great minimalist photo! Beautiful green and blue tones, too! Fav!

Love the title. I really like wind turbines, they can be a bit controversial but I think they are like art rather than power lines which are a bit of a blot on the landscape in my opinion. This shot is great, with the gentle rolling hills. Love it!

@vskolnik wow, Vee! that is so nice of you to say! thanks for the FAV too!

@silverlight ;~} thanks so much, Cheryl. they do stir up a lot of controversy but I am with you about their graceful beauty.
