What a wonderful tribute, Katy. I did not know what to post for today and you said it all right here in this photo, with the towers in the background, faded, our american eagle, and the single tear. I will never forget.

I would love to receive the credit for being this clever to create this shot but it is not my own. It was done by someone a day or two after the towers went down and I thought it captured very well the feeling of our nation to see our national bird in tears over the destruction. I printed it, framed it, and kept in in my office for a long time. I thought it was a fitting tribute for today so I took a shot of it to post.
