Frigid Air by grammyn

Frigid Air

Air conditioning?! It is still wintertime!

And getting cold again tonight, where I live. Neat shot--it makes you pay new attention to an ordinary object.

Lovely texture find

I like the way you've taken an every day object and turned it into the focal point. Great use of b&w. Isn't it about time you stop using the "wreck" tag?
March 13th, 2014
@eudora For us too but I kind of prefer the cold to the extremely hot so I will not complain. Thanks for saying that, Diane! I often feel that way about other shots I see on this site so it is nice to know I managed it this time with mine.

@kbird61 I appreciate that Kay! I think all the lines are what caught my attention first.
March 13th, 2014
@kwiksilver Thanks for that Gillian! It is actually NOT B&W except the color was! That is how it looked. I just straightened it a bit.

I laughed ot loud at your last question! I have considered not using it anymore but....... my arm is till not back to normal and my vision is a long way off yet so until I am totally whole I want to remember what I did in my diminished capacity.
March 13th, 2014
and the dang frigid air won't go away! Diminished??? You are a Superwoman!!! xxoo
March 13th, 2014
Oh wow. Cool white on white shot. It lets the lines and shapes stand out. We have not had frigid air, but are about to tonight!
March 13th, 2014
@sunshinephoto5 I thought it was really more appropriate for my northern friends because we haven't had a whole lot of frigid air, thankfully.

That just warmed my heart, Dawn! thanks! I am still srtuggling just not as much as i did.
March 13th, 2014
@espyetta Except for a straighten and crop, oh yeah, and a paint out of a couple of black spots this is SOOC! that is how I saw it which is what caught my eye!

It's hard to believe now but Summer is coming
March 13th, 2014
@digitalrn In just a few short months we will be complaining about the heat and humidity!
March 13th, 2014
I can't really comprehend summer yet either, since we are set to get another winter blast tomorrow!
March 13th, 2014
Cool (no pun intended!) photo. One of the first things I noticed was the word "Frigidaire" in what I believe is the same old "font" as our old Fridgidaire fridge! Two memory nights in a row! :)
March 13th, 2014
We are at that time of the year where we need air in the day and heat at night and a check book to pay for it.
March 13th, 2014
@homeschoolmom Then you will HAVE frigid air for sure!! I am so sorry for you winter experience this year.
March 13th, 2014
@marilyn Thanks, sissy!! I aim to please but now the pressure is on to try and make it three. A real challenge for my forgetful mind!!
March 13th, 2014
@jolefont LOL I know exactly what you mean! (;
March 13th, 2014
@grammyn No pressure… I'll enjoy whatever you post whether it has a memory attached or not! :)
March 13th, 2014
@marilyn Awww! too sweet!
March 13th, 2014
Something we never need in Northern England .. ((;
March 13th, 2014
@steveh LOL! Count your blessings!
March 13th, 2014
I had doors open, ceiling fans on and enjoyed 85 degree weather today. Of course this means no rain and the drought is still here but it is nice to enjoy the weather that we are having. So glad we do not have to use A/C or heat right now.
March 14th, 2014
@darsphotos We have had a few warm days that almost needed the air but then we had a few colder ones as a trade off
March 14th, 2014
LOL We're in a deep freeze at the moment, so no need for that here! :) I like the monotone"ness" of this shot!
March 14th, 2014
@luvmynynix We are having a small cool down too but nothing like yours! thanks so much, Laurie!
March 14th, 2014
Lets hope it works in reverse and blow warm air too; Great mundane subject
March 14th, 2014
@claireuk Oh, I hadn't thought of that!! Thanks Claire for taking the time!!
March 14th, 2014
Beautiful lines in this interesting monochromatic shot!
March 16th, 2014
@ruthmouch Thanks so much, Ruth! I was pleased with the effect it had.
March 16th, 2014
Love your titles this week! Well done shot too.
March 17th, 2014
I really appreciate the title comment Marc. Thank you very much.
March 17th, 2014
The old-fashioned kind even! It's like some kind of relic!
March 19th, 2014
@darylo It IS a relic but i think it probably still works! things used to be made to last forever!
