Feeling Squirrely by grammyn

Feeling Squirrely

At least he was on the ground eating spilled seed instead of in the feeders this time!

Thanks to all for your time and nice comments on my recent photos! I am still struggling with vision challenges. Cataracts are compounding the problems caused by the accident. Add that to so many of my friends that have three or more albums and post in all of them every day makes it complicated for me to keep up. I hate getting behind but may have to cut back a bit on my commenting. Please know I will try to keep looking and as much as I hate one word comments may have to resort to that so you at least know I am looking at your amazing images.
Fantastic close up and capture of this nice squirrel. Great lighting on its face. You don't need to worry about commenting in all my shots... just one... LOL, so I know you are fine. Your health is more important than anything else.

Seeing his head like this you can see the likeness with a chipmunk! I find it hard to visit and comment on one person's 3 - 4 albums and prefer to stick with just two but mainly use one!

Oh my goodness!!! You must have been so close!! He doesn't even seem bothered by you...too busy with his treats! The detail in this is amazing!!

I love the lighting here - it is amazing to catch him like this. Just love it.

This is so cute; love the light on his little whiskers and they do look so little. I guess I am used to cat whiskers that seem to go on forever:0)
Cut yourself some slack Katy. Comment when you can and when you have the energy/ability. I think it is important to rest your eyes too. Maybe if you look at all three/four albums you could put just one comment re all the shots on one of the shots, although this won't rest your eyes honey. Do what works for you - hugs

Gorgeous shot Katy. Please look after no. 1 - that's YOU - and if you need a break from commenting, that's all good. I'd rather you posted your lovely photos for us to see - come back with comments when you feel ready. Kia kaha.

Great capture. Love the light glistening on his whiskers. I'm also having to cut back on my comments, I'm afraid. Hope your vision improves soon.

March 21st, 2014
@kwiksilver Thanks Gillian. It is rough being an invalid isn't it? How is your arm doing? I think of it often.

A wonderful capture, great detail and focus.

@grammyn Thanks for asking, Katy. My arm/shoulder is coming along in leaps and bounds but still far from having full mobility. Have even managed to cut back significantly on painkillers, although some days I'm right back on the strong stuff ;(
March 22nd, 2014
@leananiemand I am glad you like it, Leana. Thanks.
March 22nd, 2014
@kwiksilver I can totally sympathize with you and feel blessed to be off painkillers except for the occasional Tylenol. I tend to forget because your photos are so fabulous that you are working with a handicap. That makes them all the more exceptional because of the difficulty in acquiring them. Good to hear you are improving so well.

Great focus on this distance shot... also loving that green grass and sunshine! We are having nice sun today but our grass is a ways from being so green.
March 22nd, 2014
@marilyn Thanks, Sissy! I actually think that is bird seed that has started growing under the feeders! Enjoy your sun and be grateful you don;'t need to mow yet as we do!
March 22nd, 2014
What a great shot, Katy. Love the detail you captured. I have never followed extra albums. I feel badly that I do not keep up with my own photos and commenting on just one photo a day. You need to do what works for you. Take care. Thoughts are with you.
March 22nd, 2014
Good Heavens Katy!!! YOU are the one who had the bad accident! I just fell and did myself some very nasty damage! But thank you so much for your concern!
March 23rd, 2014
@darsphotos Thanks so much Darlene for your kind comments and support!. I really appreciate it!
March 23rd, 2014
@kwiksilver The way I see it damage is damage however it arrives. Pain and suffering is the same no matter what the cause! Because I had trouble with my arm and still am working on the recovery I know what you are going through very well.
March 23rd, 2014
such a cute little guy. I'm taken with them too. Nice one
March 23rd, 2014
@jpvona Thanks Jill! too bad they are pests because theyare so cute!
March 23rd, 2014
Don't worry about commenting! Just do what you can. I am so bad about commenting now that I seem to work 24-7. What can we do? Just the best we can. I love your saucy squirrel! Staying on the ground today though..that is good. btw... I hope your eyes get better. Are you going to get surgery...
March 23rd, 2014
@espyetta Cataract surgery in the forecast but I am not sure when! i feel it will help a lot but they are waiting for the swelling in the optic nerve to go down I think and that takes time! The nerves to the eyes are connected somehow to the C-2 which is the bone I broke so praying for it to be something that will fix itself with time.
