I received such a thoughtful gift from Ana in December which is shown in the center of this collage. It almost killed me to not be able to wear that gorgeous necklace and earring set then but you can see why because the picture on the left is what I looked like that day. (not a very good expression on that face either!) Today was the first day I have gone anywhere without my neckbrace since the halo was removed and I was so excited to be able to finally wear the jewelry. Thanks again, Ana!
Oh dear, you couldn't make me happier knowing you are able to wear it already --not because of the gift, but because it means you have improved all the way to not even needing the neck-brace. God has heard all our prayers and you have received all the positive energy sent by so many your way, and above all, it's the result of YOUR effort and tenacity.
What a wonderful gift from Ana @anazad511 ! Such a thoughtful thing to do and it has given you so much pleasure - to be able to wear it being part of the pleasure! Its a lovely picture of you, Katy!
@anazad511 "Already" doesn't seem like the right word to me! it has been three long months of me looking longingly at that set almost every day and waiting eagerly for the day when I could finally wear it! I am so grateful for all the prayers and God's positive response for sure. I still have quite a bit of healing to do before I am back to 100% but this gift symbolizes one more step back to regular for me! thanks so much, Ana!
How kind of @anazad511 for this her thoughtfulness. She is such an inspiration to me. I only heard of your accident through the blog and didn't know you well before. You look beautiful and I am so happy that you have healed so well and are able to enjoy that precious gift. God bless.
@cimes1 I was really touched by her thoughtfulness and friendship. Thanks you Carol! It has been a blessing to feel the love and concern from this community including my friends and followers and the ones who had never heard of me before the accident!
You've really come so far - what a journey! That was how I came to 'follow' your project - I saw an item on the discussion board about your terrible accident, otherwise I'd be missing out on all your lovely photos! Judging by the comments above, you are obviously surrounded by many supportive friends on this forum.
@kiwiflora That is so nice of you Françoise. 365 has provided more healing for me than imaginable through the prayers, support and encouragement I have received from people around the world. The motivattion to take and post photos again gave me something to look forward to and was actually some physical therapy for me as well! The people here are the best in the world and nothing will make me feel differently.
What a wonderful collage and beautiful photo of you, Katy without your neck collar. So happy for you to be free of that and be able to wear what you want to and enjoy this wonderful gift from Ana.
I think of the steps and agony of the transformation and the closeness of the loss, it's been a long hard road for her and her great support group (her online friends, her Theresa, her sister, her Nicki, her wonderful neighbors, and her untiring Faith).
When she got done getting ready for church and I met her in the hallway, I had to check the address!
@prn We truly did not know what went on behind the photos, day to day. It can be really trying but like you said with the support and help of so many Katy is where she is today. A wonderful husband like you makes a huge difference as well. I am lucky to have the same. Nice that she surprised you. 365 surprised me as the look has changed and I love it.
You look beautiful, Katy! So glad you can wear the jewelry and not the neck brace. You are making an amazing recovery--your courage and tenacity are an inspiration to us all.
@anazad511 You are truly such a kind and thoughful person Ana and just look at the result, doesn't she look amazing:0)
