A cup of coffee, a sheet of stamps, an address book, and glasses to see is all that is required to send a short note to family and friends to let them know we are thinking of them especially at this tiime of year.
There are so many heartwarming things about this scene: holiday cards, eye glasses, kitchy tourist mug, stamps (stamps!!) and my favourite...a handwritten address book. You have proven to me that Christmas still exists in the hearts of young and old. Thank you, @grammyn.
What a great Christmas scene Katy. Love that mug. I have yet to have the "sit down" moment and I haven't done cards in years--I don't like that I don't do it anymore (I do a few for Mike's family, but that's not enough).
@linnypinny@olivetreeann@eudora@timewalker@kandkids@tunia Thank you for all the nice things you said. I decided to make lemonade out of lemons since I knew I was going to spend so much time with these cards and thought perhaps I could take a second or two for a photo of it.
@dibzgreasley Oh, Debs ! It is so nice of you to say that! If you had held those babies as I did you would have left a part of your heart there too! I know your heart is already nearer there than mine anyway! ;~}
@moniquenadeau I am really glad you like this! It means a lot to me! in this particular case it is in the heart of the old! ;~} The address book is actually older than some of my children! I can't seem to part with it even though it is falling apart!
;-)
