Black and White Naturally by grammyn

Black and White Naturally

Three of my nativities. I have between 50 and 100 of various sizes. The one in the back left was cut out of sheet metal by my son-in-law. The one in the center is made from ash from the Mt. St. Helens eruption, and the one on the right was given to me by a friend I used to work with. As I age I don't put them all out anymore. I even have a few on loan to one of my daughters. I also have a small tree with only nativity ornaments on it that I do put up each year.
Now that is really celebrating "the reason for the season"! They're all lovely.

Very elegant - you have a natural artistic flair! But you sound a bit challenged with all you are trying to achieve! Sit back, put your feet up and hum a carol, Katy!

The greys and blues in this location are so soothing. That's quite the collection.

Those are so special!!! And I just have to say your pic looks straight from Pottery Barn catalog! Everything's gorgeous! I am debating whether to put up my tree or not. it is pretty late but I got my new ornaments this year to remember the year... A Yoda and a C3p0 To remember Star Wars came
Out this year. And I did get a prelit tree that you just put top into the bottom and no fluffing because I left it up in a storage bedroom upstairs. I got your Christmas card! Thank you! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season!

pam
..........beautiful miss....................now if that were my house, if one were to look just to the right of the frame one would see all the clutter i moved to make a beautiful, serene and festive photo :)

@espyetta well aren't you just so kind to say that! thank you so much! I know what you mean about putting up a tree. Last year I didn't do it at all except for my little nativity tree. I wish I had a place to leave it set up then I wouldn't mind getting it out so much every year and fluffing it! That's the worst!

@timewalker that is really so sweet of you to say thank you Pam! This is the one room of my house that does not have clutter in it… But it's the only room! The only thing I move for the shot was the blanket it usually sits on the other sofa.

@linnypinny thanks, Lin, for taking the time as I know how busy you are!

The best part is that you know the story behind all 100 nativities.

@tunia Lol! I started writing down who gave them a few years ago because I knew I would eventually forget!

Such lovely decorations. There is so much of interest to look at here. I love the composition with that lovely blanket.

@kwiksilver I am so pleased you like it! The decorations make it an interesting shot I think! The blanket was a gift from my daughter last year! Thanks Gillian!

I'm a collector of nativities. One from Honduras and one from Santa Fe. And an ornament with the whole scene inside -- I love putting them out.
